In Problem Solving this week, I have learnt about decimals and how to add and subtract them. One thing that I have learnt is that when you subtract decimals, is it better if you just subtract the numbers one by one.
For example;7.5-2.4=5.1. I know the answer, because if we split the numbers like this, 7, 0.5, 2 and 0.4, we can subtract from there. So what we would do first is subtract 2 from 7 and we would end up with 5. The next thing that we would do is, subtract 0.4 from 0.5 which would equal to 0.1. So if we add 0.1 and 5 together, we would end up with 5.1. So that means that 5.1 is the answer.
