In Maths Teacher Lesson this week I have learnt to add when subtracting. For example: 3.364 - 5.597=?. When adding, you will take the second number and round it to the nearest whole number. Look underneath to see the whole solution.

Maths Teacher Lesson-Week 3
WALT: Subtract decimals.
In Maths Teacher Lesson this week, I have learnt an easier way to subtract decimals. The way is to split the numbers into their place values and then subtract from there. For example: 16.63-8.51=8.12. This is the way I worked it out is by this. This is the some times the way I find the answer to subtraction questions.

Maths Teacher Lesson-Week 2
WALT: Add and subtract.
Last week in maths teacher lesson, we learnt how to add and subtract. We mostly looked at decimals and then we made them into fractions. For example; 2.4. The way I solve the question is by doing this; there is 2 and there 4/10, so if we add those together, it would equal to 2 and 4/10. So 2.4 in fractions would equal to 2 and 4/10's.

Maths Teacher Lesson-Week 1
WALT: Add and subtract decimals.
In Maths Teacher lesson this week, I learnt the place values of a decimal. For example; 26.5837, the number 8 is in the hundredths. I know this because it is two numbers away from the point and there is two zero's in hundreds. This is how I see which of the place value is the number in.

Maths Teacher Lesson-Week 10
WALT:Add and Subtract fractions.
For the last few weeks in Maths Teacher Lesson, we have been learning about adding and subtracting fractions, then we learnt how to simplifier that fraction. For example; 6/20 + 4/20 = 10/20. We can make this simpler by doing this; 10 divided by 2=5, 20 divided by 2=10. Once we have done that we try and do it again 5 divided by 5=1 and 10 divided by 5=2. So if we put 1 and 2 into a fraction, it would make 1/2. The answer to 6/20 + 4/20=1/2 or 5/10 or 10/20.

For example; 3/18 + 6/18 + 4/18 = 13/18. I know the answer because you do not add the denominator. All I did was, 3+6+4=13. Once I did that, I put the 18 with it. I thought if I could make it simpler fraction, but I could not because it is an even and odd fraction. So the answer is 13/18.
