Market Day!

WALT: Write an interesting and detailed recount.

On the eleventh of September, Team four had our Market Day, which was awesome! We bought, sold, advertised, sold out and more. Everyone got PT’s and Pieces from selling and out of their bank. The kitchen business got money very very easily.

Our six business’ Toys, Kitchen, Custom Stationery, Jewellery, Musical Instruments and Homeware. We have been working towards that day all term. Before the Market Day had happen, all the business’ had been creating loads of their products in their smaller groups. Some of the people in our team got lots and lots of money, but the others got only a little because their products sold out.

The Market happen between morning tea and lunch, so had to set up our stalls before Morning Tea. We went to our business’ and set up a table and put our products on. After Morning Tea, the Market started and everyone got loads of customers, sold lots of products and got lots of money.

I was the first to sell and I was doing well until the end of the first half. I made four PT and sold five of my products. My partner came by once or twice and was cheering for me, which was nice. Towards the end of the first half, my product sold out and I couldn’t sell any more. When my partner came for the swap, she made way more money than me and I was really happy for her. After I had finished selling at my stall, I went to shopping which was interesting.

Once the Market had started, I was at my stall selling my product. When it was my turn to buy, I went to every business and bought something or to picked up my order. I bought a drum, bow and arrow and some loom band key rings. I picked up my name label sticker, Maths book cover and fudge cake. After I had done all that shopping, I had no money left. I did not want to go back to my stall to sell so I just advertised my friend’s product until the end of the Market.

The word for the Market Day for me was probably, interesting. This is because, well I was selling I sold out and well I was buying, I ran out of money. It was really strange that I ran out of something during both halts of the Market. I really hope that my small group will finish all our orders before the end of the term (which is next week!).

Write for my reader
I've tried to think about my reader
My writing shows some awareness of reader because my writing is quite clear and I have tried to interest my reader.
My writing is easy to understand and I have tried to tell the reader what it was like to be there by giving details and my thoughts.
My writing really considers audience as reader because I have kept their interest and made them feel like they know exactly what it was like for me.
Purpose
I tried to meet the purpose
My text goes some way towards meeting the purpose
The message is clear in some parts of the recount.
My text fully meets the purpose.
The message is clear all through the recount.
Introduction
My introduction does not yet clearly orientate or hook in my reader.

Paragraph Topics
My paragraphs are confused and don't follow my plan.
I have tried to follow my plan.
Most my paragraphs are about 1 big idea and I have added some detail.

My paragraphs have complex and simple sentences. Paragraphs all give details about 1 big idea.

This week in writing we have gone back to writing recounts. We first wrote our introduction and marked that. After we had written the whole text, we read it twice and marked ourself. We marked each others paragraphs, one by one. It was very time limited and felt like a test or writing sample.

Qualities of a Good Friend-Writing

Qualities of a Good (Great) Friend
Are you a good friend, an okay friend or a just a friend?  Well this text will lead you to one of the bests ways to be a great friend. First of all you need to get a friend. Next step, you need to follow my intrusions. After you have done this you will be a great friend.

Supportive
If want to be a great friend, one of the most important qualities is to be supportive to your friend. For example; When your friend is playing a game, you cheer them on so that they can feel better. There are lots of examples but we’ll stay with that today. Make sure that you do this because it is one of the most important qualities.

Respectful
Being Respectful is also another important qualities. Especially when your friend is telling you something. For example; a secret. When your being respectful to your friend its like being respectful to your teacher or your Mum and Dad. If you are reading this, you should make sure that you be respectful to your friends.

Honesty
Honesty is another important qualities. The way you use this is to tell the truth all the time. For example; if you want something and you say that you want it because you don’t have one but you lied, that means that you need to tell truth. Sometimes I think that honesty means the truth. This needs to be used a lot.

Conclusion
These three things that you have read, won’t just finish off how to be a great friend. There’s also lot more qualities to be a great friend. After you have finish reading this, make sure you take those three instructions and you will succeed.
