These are three things that compare the two Menus

1. Aotearoa has more food then Malawi.

2. Things in Aotearoa the price is more then Malawi.

3.  The two menus have nothing in common

The Boat Race

If I was in the race I would make a speed boat because if I did then I would of won it because my boat is really fast and speedy.

How Buoyancy was found

A long time ago in Syracuse,Ancient greece there was a great mathematician named Archimedes'. One when he was taking a bath he discovered something life changing. When he got in some water got displaced it overfloat in the bath tub.

Archimedes’ discovery got him thinking. He was so excited that he ran through the streets without any clothes on saying Eureka!! Eureka!!. This meant I have found it in greek.

He figured out that if you put something in water and it is lighter than the amount of water being displaced,the object will float. This is known as Buoyancy or Archimedes principle. So if object can float,it is Buoyant.

We have been reading about a boy who lives in Qui Nhon.  His father is a fisherman and they own a basket boat called a thung chai.

A thung chai can be used for
-fishing boat
-paddle boat
-chill out time

What is Easter?

People have different beliefs about what Easter is. Some people believe it is about Easter eggs,Jesus resurrected and some people and some people don’t even celebrate it.  

Easter Eggs

Ancient Egyptian and Persians believed that the Earth hatched from a egg. They celebrated new life by decorating eggs in bright spring colours. The first chocolate eggs were made in Germany in the 19th century.   

Easter Sunday

Christians believe that Jesus died on the cross for their sins. On Easter Friday Jesus died on the cross. It was said on Easter Sunday Jesus resurrected into heaven.        

Conclusion

All over the world, there are many beliefs about Easter. At the end of the day, it all depends on what you believe it is all about. What does Easter mean to you?

What is Fiafia?

What is Fiafia:

What is Fiafia to you? Why are you asking me this I hear you say. Fiafia mean three things they are celebrations Well it is because I at my school Pt England we are having a  celebration and by doing that we performances to each other and other people like parents and Whanau. Before the big night weeks and weeks before it we get to pick three groups then some of the teachers talk about what group they're going to be in. Then we have lots and lots of practice for heaps of weeks and then we put on a performance for people. Before 2000 they had Fiafia each now and then. But now we have been doing Fiafia each second year.

My Fiafia group:

My Fiafia group was pacific contemporary dance. We had to do a lot of practice like at lunch and morning tea. On the 6th week we got to try on our dress but mine one and some of the others dress’ were too big for us. Through the weeks it got fixed but my dress were still bit too big. On the night I put my dress on and Miss Muliaumasealii and Mrs Jamali made it shorter with safety pins. It felt a bit weird when we went on stage because I’m not used to dancing in dress unless they are a  skirt dress’. Here I come Fiafia 2016!!!
